Question 87 from The Impossible Quiz Book is the thirty-seventh question of Chapter 2, and the seventh one to have the visual theme inspired by the Modern video games era.

You're presented once again to a mathematical operation, more specifically an addition, which reads: "56 + 31 = ?". The potential answers to this question include a question mark ("?"), "5631", "90" and "42".

The question mark and "5631" might look like good ways of answering this, because at this point the Quiz could be trying to pull ANY kind of trick against you; however, they are NOT correct. In fact, the result of the addition happens to be 87. There is no 87 on screen other than the one located as the question number, and as it turns out, it is a clickable object, so it would be sensible to assume that to advance to the next question you must click the question number, right?

WRONG!! Trying to click the question number will take a life away from you as well! This means that the answer could be either of the remaining option boxes, since pressing keys on your keyboard won't help anyway.

You might remember from Question 42 in the first Impossible Quiz that the number 42 has been referred to as "the answer to life, the universe and everything", alluding to Douglas Adams's novel "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Since this particular number is considered to be the answer to EVERYTHING, then this is a good indicator that the answer to this addition must be 42 as well!

Click "42" and you'll proceed right away!
